LaPerm breed is a unique combination of curly hair and warm personality. Nobody can deny the love and affection that LaPerm breed cats tumble on the owners, not to ignore the curly or wavy hair that is so interesting race.
Kitten who presented first signs of the original mutation which was the basis for this breed among domestic cats came from “the barn”. In 1982, in a farm in Oregon, situated near an old fishing and hunting in Wishram Indians, six kittens were born from a barn cat. One kitten was born completely bald-totally different from her mother and brothers. Although it had a bit of fur, the cat had huge ears and a pattern for his stature “blueprint” of the skin, which copy a classic tabby pattern. By the age of eight weeks the kitten began to grow a very soft and curly hair. Between 3 and 4 months, kitten, named Curly, has grown a full created coat .Not being very experienced about his cats, the owner and does not beat too much his head with the “mutant”.

Morphological traits.

The hair coat that forms the maximum degree of wrinkled cats present on the underside of the body on the neck and the ears. Long hair is completed, in general they have a wave and bushy tail. The coat is moderately soft like texture, however, the fur of every cat is unique in its way. Short coat type is more textured than the long coat. LaPerm Cats of race can be in any coat color or pattern recognition. Some kittens can be born without hair, but most have a short hair and curly or right at birth. Often, the kittens can be quite keys, or your hair may fall in some regions, up to several weeks. This process begins, usually when the kittens are two weeks, they can be in various stages of the absence of hair. In general, the fur is always regained created if the cat was born with curly hair.

Character and behavior

LaPerm cats are gentile and affectionate, but very active. Unlike of many active breeds, LaPerm is quite satisfied with his sedentary cat. LaPerm will always prefer to settle near the master if it does not feel like playing. These cats look human company and start spinning as soon as I feel their presence. By their nature, are intrusive and cats will always know what is happening around them. They like to touch the front master with his paws and rub the head of the master, neck or face. Very cute cats LaPerm nature captivates all those who meet. LaPerm starts spinning as soon as he sees his master and loves to sit in your lap and be caressed.

This race is one of the latest cats in fashion, especially because of the ad that is done, as that would be one of the largest breeds of cats in the world (even 20 kg). Is it? Its origin is controversial, certainly being the fact that the work of selection and improvement of Norwegian breeders, led to obtaining one of the most beautiful breed of semi long cat hair , which was standardized in 1977.

Morphological traits.

It is a race for an extraordinary suppleness, managing to keep balance in the most difficult situations .She is characterized by a triangular head, he looks round because of the collar which is extremely small and obvious .The head has a long nose, relatively straight and free of stop. The ears are wide and long, well apart from each other, the ends provided with tufts of hair. The eyes are large, expressive, open, lively and always very vigilant. The color of the eyes is in the same tone with the animal coat. The body is robust, but flexible, is supported by strong and resolute legs, the rear being longer than the front ones .The claws are long and very strong . The tail is appropriate, proportionate and very bushy.
The hair covering the body surface is semi long, often composed of two types of different hair, that provides the cat with a perfect barrier against bad weather . No other breed of cats did not have a similar coat, which looks like, because the structure coat with a cape . It can also be observed the remarkable development of the hairiness at the hind limb, that it forms the so-called “trousers.” Color hair and eyes, moreover, may be variable, the only requirement being to harmonize with the coat color.

Character and behavior .

Highly intelligent breed, is simultaneously one of the most effective hunter . She is reserved around any unknown person, in turn, she shows more gentleness and attachment to its master. She likes to play, but she is the one that has to run the hostilities and she doesn’t like to be constrained. She likes to be caressed, but not excessive, she has more personality and elegance, she had to be understood and sometimes whims are accepted.
Accepts to live in the house, but it requires, if the term is not too demanding, to have freedom of movement in the apartment and eventually outside access, particularly where are trees, where she prefer to relax. Once a week she needs to be brushed or combed.

Varieties.

And within this race there are some varieties, which differ only by the color of the robe ,so we meet motley Norwegian, Norwegian merged with white spots and without white spots

British shorthair cat that comes in variety of colors and the most fascinating factor in coloring is that it can be either a blend of two colors or simply one single color for the whole body. They are natural breed and they are crossbred with Persian Cats to improve the thickness of their coat which is the reason why they have dense coats of hair that are often described as crisp or cracking, which refers to the way the coat breaks over the cat’s body contours when ruffled. British Shorthair eyes are big round that comes in many colors primarily copper or gold eyes. British Shorthairs are large and muscular but they can carry around that weight easily and are cobby build that enables them to play around and do the usual cat activities.

British Blue is one variant and the grey color gives it the name though it has a tinge of blue therefore called British Blue; which one upon beholding the sheer sight of a cat clad in coat comprising of a mix of grey color with slight blue ting take away the senses that enable one to structure sentences in order to explain the pure charisma that scene holds because its simply divine to watch that and that is what which makes it popular across the globe. They are very less demanding though when they need the attention they communicate it and after the fulfillment of their appetite for their attention they go back to what they were doing and let you alone to complete the task you were working on. British Shorthair is very quite, laidback and affectionate creature they often like to help and they love to participate in activities that people around them are working on, they might even at times jump into bed with you. They are equally inclined towards people belonging to the adult age group or children they are at par with the teddy bear though they don’t mind cuddling but they would love it a little petting on the back with the just resting on the ground.

They make very little noise but they do talk when required; they don’t brag around all the time. They have a very unique distinction of recognizing voice of people and they try to literally talk to them and reply back in their distinctive manner. They go along very well with cats, dogs or birds. As British Shorthair enjoys company of other animals who share the same temperament as they have. They are not demanding at all doesn’t matter if you are a person or a family that sits around and watch TV or have less activity going around they only need affection and they will just come and sit around where you are or watch any activity that is going on from a distant place and contend it self with that. The maintenance is something where one has to be very careful because they shed twice a year in spring and fall, while shedding winter coat and getting summer coat but the routine care involves just hand grooming and soft brush. They cost around $600 to $700.
