It is well known fact  that cats like cleanness. So  why your  cat piss outside litter box? In many cases it means that something wrong is happening.  Below we  show probably solutions :

You should observe your cat and give love and patience. It helps, but don’t  remember about visiting vet.

Some people think that animal shelter is place which is similar to rest place. Cats have a good care, shelter and calm. Sometimes it is truth. There are some animals shelters, where cats and dogs  are treated worthily and people who work there treat  with regard and sweetheart.

Unfortunately, above mentioned places are not frequent. Almost animal shelters fight against shortage of money, animals redundancy and location conditions. Crowd cause stress and illnesses. Animals which are sick need to visit a vet and take drugs. But there is no money for it. Despite of good willingness of workers and  volunteers only basic things are contented.

What is sad there are also animal shelters where working people are indifferent to animal prejudice. Cats are not treated like living beings. Cats sleep in own excrements.  Depends on personel treatment  ill cats are asleep. Almost cats in animal shelters are left by owners. Reasons why people decide to leave cat are different : cat’s duty, owner’s allergy, child is born, cat is ill and other. If you really must give back your cat it is better to ask your friends and family. Find home for your cat. Animal shelter can be a  adjudication. Prepare advertisements and put in different places. Maybe someone is looking for a cat.

If  you have  small children you have to explain them that cat is not a play and can it shows. Contact between child and cat is different than between dog. Cats if they are in stalemate  can scratch . Child should be aware of this fact.  If someone wear cat in clothes, pull tail and scream cause that cat is afraid and can use teeth and claws.

Children should learn safety plays with cat. There are for example: throw artificial mouse or paper on thread.  Children learn cat’s language very fast. But we have to remember that all plays should be under parents control. If cat is not aggressive, can learn child delicacy and love. It is good known fact that  children who grow up between cats are more sensitive an full of feelings. So we can’t forbid contact child with animal.

When you have a baby you have to care about safety your member of family. Cat is always interested in crying parcel. First, you should show cat a content of parcel. Permit your cat on sniffing. For some time you shouldn’t leave your baby only a cat. During contact you have to observe a cat behavior.  If cat don’t show aggression it means that situation is self-possessed.

Friendship between child and cat can last for many years and for young person can b

Some people consider if it is necessary to bath a cat. I know answer , because I have talked about it with my vet. He said that there is no need to bath a cat, exluding below situations:

• Taking care about longhaired cat -  especially if you prepare your cat  on exhibitions
• When fur of your cat is covered by substances, which could not be removed by your cat
• Disease like tinea and parasites
• Owner’s allergy
• Rehabilitation in water after complex
• Cald bath when your cat has burn or heatstroke

If bath is necessary you have to prepare: warm water (it can’t be too hot and too cold), towel, shampoo designed for cats and drier.  You can also ask for help someone with family. For many cats situation in which you start pour water on is very stressful. So it is better to put cat in bath filled water. Pour water on cat without its head  using your hand . If cat is wet use a shampoo. Avoid ears, eyes and nose. Rinse cat and dry using drier or towel.

First bath for cat is the worst, because cat don’t know what is happening and the owner don’t know cat reaction. Some cats like baths, so maybe your cat belongs to this group of cats. Remember that in normally situation bath is not necessary.

Seeing

Cat is able to see in the night six times better then a human. Their range of seeing is definitely higher then human one and is equal to 285 degrees, comparing to 210 degrees in human eye. Cats are able to see very sharp even in poor light, but on the other side humans can see more details in high sun light comparing to cats.  Very interesting fact is the way that cat’s eye captures movement. It’s very sensible and if we connect that to very reliable distance estimation we have a perfect haunting machine. During night when cat is haunting it see’s everything in black and white. In fact cats don’t need to see colors as they focus on contours.

Hearing

Cat ear is moved by thirteen muscles and is very sensible for sound, especially for high tones. Cats are able to hear the sounds with frequency up to 60 kHZ . Let’s compare this amount to 20 kHz which is cached up with human ear.  Cat is not only able to hear more sounds but perfectly localize the source of the sound.

The cat’s eyes are like the human’s eyes. When there is a little light, apples of the cat’s eyes enlarge as the same as human’s and reduce in daily light.  Shining in the night is considered of inner covering matters on the bottom of eyes. LaPerm  breed is a unique combination of curly hair and  warm personality. Nobody can deny the love and affection that LaPerm breed cats  tumble on the owners, not to ignore the curly or wavy hair that is so interesting race.
Kitten who presented first signs of the original mutation which was the basis for this breed among domestic cats came from “the barn”. In 1982,  in a farm in Oregon, situated near an old fishing and hunting in Wishram Indians, six kittens were born  from a barn cat. One kitten was born completely bald-totally different from her mother and brothers. Although it had a bit of fur, the cat had huge ears and a pattern for his stature “blueprint” of the skin, which copy a classic tabby pattern. By the age of eight weeks the kitten began to grow a very soft and curly hair. Between 3 and 4 months, kitten, named Curly, has grown a full  created coat .Not being very experienced  about his  cats, the owner and does not beat too much his  head with the “mutant”.

Morphological traits.

The hair coat that forms the maximum degree of wrinkled cats present on the underside of the body on the neck and the ears. Long hair is completed, in general  they have a wave and bushy tail. Character and behavior

LaPerm cats are gentile and affectionate, but very active. Unlike  of many active breeds, LaPerm is quite satisfied with his sedentary cat. LaPerm will always prefer to settle near the master if it does not feel like playing. These cats look human company and start spinning as soon as I feel their presence. By their nature, are intrusive and cats will always know what is happening around them. They like to touch the front master with his paws and rub the head of the master, neck or face. Top representatives of the breed Kurilian Bobtail appeared in exhibitions for the first time in 1990. At that time many experts believed that  the curious cats are  just an imitation of the famous Japanese Bobtail. Nothing  its not known  today  if the two races have something in common genetically, in addition to short and bushy tail. It is assumed that even Kurilian Bobtail cats were  the first breed “endowed” with a separate queue, after which  it would be developed breed Japanese Bobtail. While  the cats were high-ranking Japanese aristocrat breed, elegant Kurilian Island cats were kept in their natural state: more wild.
The cats  of race in the Karelian  Bobtail (though the names are similar, there are 2 different races), they are the result of a mutation in the Manx breed or Kurilian. Karelian cats originate from St. Petersburg, in the western part of Russia. Recessive gene present in Kurilian tail is dominant in the Karelian cats. They are closer, after issue,  to the the Norwegian Forest Cat, while  the  Kurilian  is closer to the Siberian breed.

Morphological traits

Bobtail cats Kurilian are medium to large. It is characterized by a muscular body, compact design. The head is round in shape, round eyes, yellow or green, and ears are “hidden” by tufts of hair. Legs  are ending with round paws and  the tail has a tuft form and can be measured either by 3 cm, or between 8 and 15 cm .The fur  is dense, fine, short, in 2 layers. Unlike wild version of this breed, mustached Kurilian Bobtail domesticated  cat is bigger. If a wild cat may weigh 3.5 to 4 kg, a  pets cat  get even  6 kg. Wild females weigh between 2 and 2.5 kilograms while domesticated variant reaches 4 kg.

Character and behavior:

Kurilian Bobtail Cats are strong felines  and savage looking animals because they are medium to large. Cats are healthy with a balanced character. Love to be spoiled and are very quiet, hardly aggressive. In the wild, are animals that live in groups, like packs of wolves. Animals are very smart and resourceful. It adapts well to any conditions, including transport of 2 days. The appearance of these wild cats are not reflected in their temperament.  They love  people company, are ideal for living in the apartment or house.
A special feature of this breed’s is the  passion for … water! Love to bathe, to “fish” and play in water. They are very easy to train, because they are obeying cats. Cats are among the most of the time silent, do not  cause harm around the  house (which means they  can left  alone in the living room, but it is good to be trained a bit  initially!).

Varieties.

Can be found in various shades and combinations of colors: chocolate, red, beige, white, gray, white, gray, white, black, tiger, etc.. White cats may have blue eyes.

Ocicat cat breeder is the result of the work of  an American  who crossed an Abyssinian female with a half breed Siamese  chocolate stained cat  and he obtained  ocelot kittens (Mexican wild cat). This male was then paired with American cat with short hair and the products were the basis for this breed. Ocicat is a relatively new breed of cats, which resulted from an accidental cross of conjoined twins Seal Point cat breeds and Abyssinian in the 60′s. One of the kittens had resulted chocolate color, with golden spots, strikingly resembling the wild cat Ocelot, hence the name Ocicat. Later in cross program was introduced and American Shorthair.  The race won champion status in 1987 in America. In 1988, the first cat breed Ocicat arrived in Britain, where their popularity is even higher than in U.S.

Morphological traits.

Animal imposing a weight of 5-7 kg, from a morphologically resemble with the wild cat Ocelot and  South American cat. Ocicat cat  has a triangular head, nice looking, well proportioned, with fine nose, slightly concave , red-brownish .The ears  are well apart, relatively long, and with the peaks  sharpened .The eyes are well developed, open, lively, bright and yellow .The trunk  is harmoniously developed, dressed in muscles strong and firm, without  being to big. The members are  normally developed but are long and powerful, the  designs presented in the form of stripes are  arranged in a circular pattern .The tail is long, fitted with circular rings. The body is covered with short hair, and bright, as we place “tight” on the body of the animal. The robe  presents a characteristic design , represented by the closed brown spots, evenly distributed all over the body.

Character and behavior.

Cat breed in fast growing field because of its attributes, is shown to be increased still under conditions that ensure a large enough space considering her body weight . She is sociable, strongly attached to his master but is still reserved towards foreigners, whom he treats  them with caution. When  foreign persons appear, she usually gets angry and withdraw at her sleeping place, she listen carefully and do not appear until the guests have gone .If she is raised in an apartment or more than one villa, is indicated to allow her access to the terrace, which suits them and is sometimes necessary because of the air. She is a bit  demanding at food, is shown to be used , early in life with  fresh vegetables and rice, along with canned meat and fish, which  they accept with great pleasure. Despite their appearance of wild cat,  the temperament  of Ocicat cats doesn’t  reflect this.
They are very smart and playful, curious and friendly and not aggressive. Like all active cats,  they prefer to have company and are so happy around people, but if they are gone all day at work, another Ocicat cat will become their favorite playing partner. Ocicat adapts easily and live well both indoors and outdoors.

Varieties

In the race we can meet cats  in which the tone color  can be variable, but are not allowed other than the standard colors or classic designs.

Originated from a cross breed between Abyssinian and long hair Persian or Angora but there are certain other contradictory claims about its origination either which says that it occurred due to the natural mutation but having said that if the attitude, nature, physique, temperament and the Somali’s susceptibility to certain diseases is analyzed it is ascertained that it is a cross between Abyssinian and some long hair cat breed because the presence of numerous traits that are similar to Abyssinian. Therefore the former theory of Somali being a cross breed seems to be authentic. Somali has almost he same traits as those are present in its ancestor. Somalis are very active, hyper, vocal, playful and energetic they want human companionship all the time. Somalis have physical feature same as that of Abyssinian but the other cross of long hair does gives it something if not all that includes the fluffy coat of long hair and the bushy tail which is as long as in Abyssinian but they are short hair and Somalis have long hair. Somalis also inherit the “M” mark between the eyes from the Abyssinian known as frown lines. The also have the same color as that of Abyssinian yellow, brown, beige base with blue ticking, light-cream base color with darker cream ticking and Ruddy. They have eye color gold, green or hazel.

Somalis are always in search of human companionship and they are so keen for that they would even get into the cushion with you to sleep with you; they also like water unlike other cats they have the tendency to be in the shower with you. They are very talkative they communicate their discontent or pleasure over thing that they feel or even when they want attention of other for one reason or the other. They don’t just create noise but they talk back when some one is talking to them. They like to run around the house and wants their share in any activity that is going around; they act like dogs, they follow you from room to room and if you open a door first they would like to enter it and even when you open a bad they would like to see that what’s in they always like to climb to your lap and jump over you. They have long hair but that require very little grooming and they shed very little hair once or twice a year and the combing once a week is enough. They are very expensive they cost $800 to $1200. They do have long hair but they don’t keep on shedding all the time and they are very active and talkative a trait that is missing in most of the long hair cats therefore with less hassle of grooming and the availability of the best traits of one of the best breeds of cats make it the favorite breed in town.

As the name suggests, Singapura is from Singapore, place where ancestors of this breed had a reputation for cats “channel”, diverting much of their life especially through channels. Singapura is, officially, the smallest breed of cat in the world, although some males can reach and the size of a Burma. Singapura cats are believed to exist about three hundred years and are descendants of cats brought in from around the world in Singapore, which were crossed with local breeds. Singapura modern draws its origins from four cats brought  to the U.S. from Singapore in 1975, by Tommy Meadow.

Morphological traits:

Although very much  she resembles  with the Abyssinian cat , Singapura cat is a much smaller sized cat. The head is round, presenting an easy stop positioned slightly below eye level. The nose is broad, moderately short and ends with a blunt top. On the nose there must be a strong signal with dark pigmentation. Ears seem too large for his stature, broad, sales at the base, the flag deep. The eyes are large, located at a distance not exceeding the length of the eye wide open. When closed, partially or totally, draw slash. It is desirable the presence of a dark outline around the eyes. Can be green, yellow or amber, but cannot predict what color will the eyes kitten when it will reach maturity. On the forehead is painted sign “M”, characteristic tabby cat. The tail is medium length, feet are very small and small-sized body has moderate length, but is very muscular. The Singapura cat is developing very slowly and does not reach the final body size only after the age of 15 to 24 months. There is much difference between the appearance of male and female animals.

Character and behavior:

Singapura is a friendly cat who loves people very much, begging , literally,  for attention. They enjoy watching television with his master, sitting in his  lap or on his shoulder. Singapura cat like watching the world from somewhere above, so all the time are on the top of the furniture. Not like the cold and damp, as appropriate for indoor cats. Her voice is warm, delicate and usually express great appreciation of her feline face of company owners. Attention to details,   Singapura  manages to quickly identify habits or hobbies of the  people to whom lives, indeed, and they  make fun  at their expense imitating them. Movement which performs a cat while playing help develop a  their physical characteristics. A big advantage of the breed is that breeding males of childbearing and don’t  mark their  territory  not in the house or around it. Another big advantage is that, although Singapura cat is a perennial, it is not at all noisy. Thus, during the heat, the female does not “yell” like her  Asian sister , but rather stuttering, allowing the owner to sleep peacefully at night. “Vocabulary” of the cats is based more on gestures and less talk, it is expressed through glances or feet movement. Sometimes they tap master as a token of consolation, even biting him gently, which is not always painless.

Varieties

Race does not know color varieties, Singapura  cats fur have  a single color: sepia . In fact, it is an intense shade of brown, an ivory-colored background. Each hair of the coat with at least two bands of sepia brown color, separate color bands of light color, top hair is dark, while his base is lighter. The fur on the muzzle, chest, stomach and ventral side of limbs  don’t  show bands, but is colored in one color – creamy white, and ivory.

It is a result of the mutation that occurred when a hairless cat was discovered in the litter of normal kittens. Sphynx are hairless and they don’t literally are hair less they do have soft hair called peach fuzz, because of the lack of hair just like Cornish Rex in order to stay warmer they cuddle with people or animals and in their quest to stay warm and cozy you would even find them in the bed with you. They have wedge shaped heads and they have heavy bodies where they often develop pot bellies which are very commonly witnessed in this breed of cat. They are very warm, compassionate, caring, loving and cuddly creatures they love companionship. They are very curious and inquisitive about every thing, they always wants to participate in activities that are going around them and would effectively try to get their share of work or try to find area where they can lend some help.

They have eye colors such as gold, green, amber, blue and aqua. If they don’t have hair or coat that doesn’t means that they either have one color or no patterns; their skin is the color of their fur would be and all the usual cat marking patterns (Solid, Pointed, Tabby, Mitted, etc) are present in Sphynx too. Though it should be made sure that there is a limited exposure to the sunlight because due the lack of hair the sun rays comes into direct contact with the skin which can cause severe sun burn. They tend to explore any place that they find warmer therefore while outdoors it should be made sure that they are properly looked after because that need of theirs can get them into deep trouble. The Sphynx are very compassionate, loving, caring and demanding breed of cats. They like to have some activity going around them and they are very playful, they form bonds with people very quickly and easily they are very inviting and welcoming to even strangers, as they can go along very well with literally every one, which makes them vulnerable to many threats therefore it is an indoor cat and even while outdoor they should be supervised. Sphynx travel very well they don’t bother that much which other cats do and they just simply sleep while traveling. They are hardly vocal though they do communicate in their own distinctive way when they want food or attention for some other purpose. They have a dog like attitude they hang around people, loves socializing, follow the owner from room to room and they are always fond of tipping over people. Sphynx are a family oriented cat they form bonds with every one they are also very friendly with other animals such as dogs. Having no hair doesn’t means that there is no hassle of maintenance their skin not always but sometimes gets oily therefore they should be frequently bathed. The Sphynx have an average life span of about 15-20 years but there have been instances where they have lived longer. They are very expensive because they are very rare they cost around $800 to $1500.

Tokinese race is a new breed, which  was resulted from crossing a Siamese with a Burmese , presenting such characteristics from both breeds. It was first developed in America in the 50s, called Golden Siamese , but  the  race hasn’t  gained popularity, being ignored over time. Only in the 60 reappeared as the Tonkinese, their  popularity were growing, getting to be preferred as pets and  at exhibition. They  have gained full recognition in America in 1975.

Morphological traits

Tonkinese is a medium sized cat. The head is slightly rounded, of medium width. Seen in profile, the nose appears obliquely, pointing to a firm chin. The ears are well apart, being wider at the base, thinning toward the tip, slightly rounded. Outline of the ear follows the line, face up to its base. The eyes are far and as more open than those targeted but not completely round, and are slightly inclined towards the nose. Eyes exhibition cats are  like  greenish blue, but colors can vary from green to blue. Copulation is well balanced, strong and muscular, and the posterior is slightly elevated. The legs are thin and muscular and the rear limbs are slightly longer than the front. The paws are oval and arranged his fingers. The tail is supple, and when brought along the body reaches the cat’s shoulders. Race Tonkinese doesn’t have any health issues  being  able to live long and active life. It is recommended, as in the other races, a routine annual inspection at the  veterinary officers to check the kidney and the liver.

Character and behavior
Tonkinese cats as  the race have the same nature as friendly and related breeds, Siamese and Burmese.  They are ideal as a family animal and they are oriented to the human company. They are very vigorous and intelligent. Can be trained to do various tricks and they need toys and games for fun. They like to always have company and, if need to be left alone for a longer period of time, a companion is essential. No noisy cats, love to spin near the master and to follow him everywhere. Their natural curiosity often puts them in difficult situations,  and it would be better to limit access to outside the house, especially if you do not have a good garden closed. It  doesn’t bothers them to be house cats as long as they have a companion and many toys with which to occupy their time.

Tonkinese cats in the breed does not require special care, whereas it has  short coat  that is easy self-maintenance, yet enjoyed the attention that is given by care. The coat should be short and attached to the body. The texture is smooth, soft and silky, with a glossy sheen. Types of fur require that the , mask, ears, feet and tail to be darker than the body.

From the beginning, Persian cat breed is undeniable the favorite race of breeders and also the most represented in the exhibition. His name is not only an indirect indication of the origin of the breed. Indeed, alludes to one of her ancestors, Turkish Angora, which transmitted the gene responsible for his famous long hair. If we know that angora comes from the border area between Turkey and Iran, we  would better understand the “Persian”  name chosen to promote the breed that is  originated here.

Morphological traits.

Persian cat is a medium-sized to large cat, which should facilitate  a perfect type cat. Thus, it is find a massive body, a broad chest, short limbs, with strong bones, feet round and pretty flat. The tail is proportional to body length, and mostly not thin. Cape is a cornerstone of what breeders call  it type. It is massive. The standard requires are a  round face, a wide jaw and a well developed chin. Numerous Persian today have more than one rectangular face round.
The ears are in line with the body, meaning small, rounded, placed quite low and very far apart. The eyes are big, round and away.
The nose is the detail that has caused most controversy lately. All standards require a short and wide nose, and a well marked stop. However, in the interpretation, American breeders have adopted an extreme attitude, some going to say that a pure  Persian breed cat should not have noses. Extreme version is, as it is noted, the variety of cat Pekingese over which the nose is almost nonexistent and there is so high concave area between the two eyes and nostrils situated on both sides of the snout.
Besides typology, fur is a second important feature of Persian. It should be thick and long on the surface of the entire body: 10-20 cm on average, especially in the collar which covers the neck and chest. The hair on the tail should be very thick. Texture should be silky and very fine.

Character and behavior.

Persian cat is calm, very discreet. He likes physical inactivity and is well suited to apartment life. However the usual small Persian appreciate outdoor life, which behaves like any other cat of European type. In terms of reproduction is different from oriental Persian. Varieties
Persian belongs as British and oriental short hair, in those races that are found in the entire range of possible varieties. Recognition of new varieties, slow until 1970, has picked up more. International Federation of cats, which recognizes only 13 varieties in 1938 and about 23 in 1980, recognizes 150 ten years later .This evolution is rampant because the number of these variations result from the simple combination of  already known variations

How to act when your cat disappears? You are sad but it is very important to don’t panic.  Panic don’t help you in finding your pet.

First, you should go over surrounding neighbourhood and look for cat among bushes, in basements  and under cars. You can also ask for help children with neighbourhood. They are good observers. Great idea is  giving children chites with your address and promising small prizes.

If those ways don’t bring results it is necessary to use other methods. Print a lot of advertisements. Remember about  adding photo of your cat, annotation about prize, address and way to contact. It is better to put your telephone number and take your telephone everywhere.

What is important you should put advertisements everywhere:
-    in surrounding staircases and advertisement posts
-    in vegetable shops, groceries and zoological shops
-    in animal hospitals
-    on bus stations  (but it is illegal)

Very old breed, with short hair, Korat  breed  comes from the mountainous northeastern part of Thailand .Since 1959  grows  in America, where it is trying to strengthen the character of this valuable breed. It was named after the province of where  is original, but  in Thailand is known as Si-Sawat, which means “good luck”, and is highly respected by the locals. It seems that King Rama V who gave the current breed name after he  notice the beauty of the cat being very interested  and about its origin. Thai consider  Korat cats  as bringing  good luck, there is a real tradition in terms of their beneficial influence: their silver fur, which is a symbol of wealth, and their eyes were the color of rice, which seems to affect  rich crops.  In Thailand, these cats are kept for a long time, but the first pair of Korat (Nara and Darra) was imported into the United States only in 1959. The breed was accepted to compete in exhibitions CFA in 1966.

Morphological traits.

At first sight, an eye for less informed, this breed can be confused with Russian Blue or mid Chartreux. With an harmonious development ,  and very showy, Korat breed is one of the cats apparently gaining more ground  among occidental part. Coat color is blue-silver, to meet without stripes or spots on its surface or other color. The hair is about 80% of length with the tip free, silver color gives reflexes  of a very interesting move.

The absence of  tail at Manx cats is a feature known for centuries and many stories circulate about their exact origin. Morphological traits:

Manx cats resembles those of the British Shorthair breed, except the tail. The head is large, round and has prominent cheekbones. The muzzle and chin are firm and strong. The ears are located above the head and are slightly bent outwards. Are wider at the base and rounded on top. The eyes are large and round, and color is in tone to that of the coat. The body is compact and solid, with a broad chest and short back. The seat is rounded and should be higher than the shoulders. Limbs are short and strong ,back legs slightly longer than the front. Cats for exhibition must not have tails at all, and the seat should be fully rounded. At pet cats are allowed stubs of different lengths.

Character and temperament:
Manx has a good nature and affectionate, loving to be affectionate. She is getting along very well with children and other animals, seemed to get along very well even with dogs. They are ideal pets, adapting easily to  the family life. Leading a very happy life like animals inside and make very little noise.
Short fur  of  the breed Manx cats do not require excessive care, able to maintain his coat even single. Manx cat fur is a double acting, featuring two layers, one thick and short and one slightly longer than the other. The double coat is far more important than color or symbol on it. It is allowed any combination of colors and markings, except the Siamese pattern. Cats for exhibition are more than appreciated for the  coat texture , color or markings.

They have a very elegant look to them and they look very fluffy and soft but they actually are like small teddy bears. Their tendency to go limp when handled is a very adoring factor as it simply submit itself when picked up and shows no temperament at all, which makes it very suitable for children who tend to be gentle as it won’t even react incase if manhandled or mauled roughly which often happens when children handle any animal. They are very good travelers if they are trained or made used to the routine since the small age they are going to love the traveling then and can be very good companions. They are usually very quite and most of the time they like to rest and lay back and relax but occasionally they do get vocal so it makes them not completely mute but they are not that vocal either. They are get accustomed to other animals very well in fact they really like the company of other animals or another Rag doll though it is not mandatory but they don’t mind it either, they have a special liking for dogs they go along so well with dogs. Rag dolls have semi long over coat and no under coat, only minimal shedding is witnessed and they don’t knot. Therefore very little grooming is required and occasional brushing, Rag dolls have an average life span of about 12-15 years and they cost about $700 to $1200.

The cat “suspected” that would be ancestor of the Burma race was a little brown cat, named Wong Mau, who was brought from Burma to America in 1930. An investigation of the genetic fund showed that Wong Mau was a hybrid of Siamese  and a new breed with a dark coat, called Burmese  because  of the origin. The reproduction was possible to isolate selective gene  which caused  dark hair  and so was created  the Burmese  we know today.

Morphological traits

The  neck is of medium length in proportion to the body. Seen in profile, head slightly indented from the top of skull to the tip of the  chin . The forehead is rounded. The nose is a distinctive line and nose must be in line with the tip of chin. The ears are well apart, situated on a rounded basis , being wider at the base, with a rounded top and are slightly bent forward. The outside line of the ears are still easy to line the face, although in mature males who developed jaws it might not be very apparent. The eyes are large and bright and can be in any shade of yellow, but yellow is a favorite. However, these cats eye color is sensitive to changes in quality of light. Legs are flexible and feet are firm and oval. The tail is right, without crimping and ends in a tuft like a brush . If  the tail length is the one recommended, will reach the shoulders .

Burmese  cat is a very friendly and affectionate creature and requires more attention from people, she is happy in a domestic environment. It is very playful and can be taught to bring lumps of paper in the same manner in which a dog  brings a bat to be  thrown,  she  gets  along very well with children, so is a  great family animal. They are very sensitive to the feelings of its master. If you have a profession that needs to be away from home all day, would be a good idea to have two Burma.  She  protests  and will follow its master all over the house begging attention. Burmese cats  are very “talkative” and therefore have no discomfort to “communicate” when they miss something or will encounter noisy when you return home. Animals are ideal for life in an  apartment, but only if they have company, because otherwise they writhe their lively temperament and affectionate that it will not show unless they have company. Burmese  owners are extremely loyal and, because of their ability to recover things were called “cat dog”. Do not like to remain on the outside of family life and often insist to participate in any activity that takes place. They are very intelligent and can easily solve problems such as the Open Door, the artists in the escape. Children are very good, but if it becomes too bothersome, just Burmese will turn back and will go until the child overblown. The fur is short and glossy, which is a distinctive feature of the race. The hair is fine and stays attached to the body.  We may meet ten  fur colors, but they are all lighter in the lower zone of the body.

Burmilla breed was created by accident, when a male  of Chinchilla had a  clandestine meeting with a bat Burmese female . The resulting kittens were so attractive, that quickly won the heart of those who have seen them, some of them adopting her. Public interest was so great that the crossing was re-forming as a new breed. Kittens resemble more with the Burmese race than the Chinchilla, having  the incisive  and friendly temper , of the Burmese race and silver color and little stripes like Chinchilla.

Morphological traits

Burmilla is a medium sized cat, because  of the Burman blood that takes him from his ancestors. The female is smaller and more delicate than the male. Cape has a considerable widith between the ears and has a slightly rounded dome. Jaws are broad at the top, ending with a big snout and flattened. Seen in profile, chin and nose are located in the same vertical plane. Ears are of medium size with rounded tip. Are arranged  in a manner that continues the angle of the face  and lean forward slightly. The eyes are well apart, full and expressive. Can be any color, from gold to green. The body is strong and muscular, with a strong back and straight. Members are of medium length and  at the back  they are slightly longer than the front. The paws are oval and the size is medium length, thinning slightly toward the top, which is rounded.

Burmilla is less hectic than a Burmese , but not lazy as a Chinchilla. These cats love to be given attention and feel the need to a  family. Can be very insistent and often follow their masters around the house begging attention. If they speak, they seem to understand and answer. Asian Cats are very intelligent and can easily overcome difficulties  opened. The curiosity and sociability of the Asian Burmilla can lead to all sorts of trouble, getting into cars or vendor guests. It is a race for an extraordinary suppleness, managing to keep balance in the most difficult situations .She is characterized by a triangular head, he looks round because  of the collar which is extremely small and obvious .The head has a long nose, relatively straight and free of stop. American Bobtail a cat that can be robust and timid than any other breed of cat as it is found in the chilling weather of Alaska and can afford to live in places with mild climates. It has been often witnessed in many cases that human often look for things in places where they are likely not going to find them but if you are looking for a cat with traits that are similar to dogs then American Bobtail is the right choice; it has been termed affectionately by many as dogs in cats clothing. Because if trained properly then they behave exactly like dogs; though they go also well along with dogs but they can be thought to fetch things and can play throw fetch either. They have been reported to be very good companions while traveling as if trained properly since childhood. They also greet you up on your entrance to the house just like dogs do. They are also not afraid of water.

As the name indicates the most fascinating feature of this breed of cat is the thick “bobbed” tail which is about one-third or one-half the length of a normal cat’s tail and if this is ever found shorter; then it should be made sure that if the cat has short spine, then it may become a problem later. American Bobtail was developed with the cross between domestic Tabby cat and a Bobcat though its thick and short tail comes from the Tabby cat. Bobtail’s unusual tail is the result of a random spontaneous genetic mutation within the domestic cat population. Unlike other cat breeds it takes more time to grow. But once it grows into its full bloom with its long body, broad chest and the posture that it has with the shorter fore legs, large round feet and toe tuft make it a sight to behold. The longhair American Bobtail has a coat that is slight shaggy and medium to long in length. The body is long with a full broad chest with wide hips that are slightly higher with defined shoulder blades which highlights its muscular look. Another very interesting feature of this cat is that it comes in any color and it eyes too but mainly yellow, green, gold and copper, blue in bi-color/van or odd-eyed in white.

It is very social and get along very well with any member of the family and especially with kids as they like handling and are very fond of being getting hold in lap. They are very lively and can stay active for hours, though they may take some time in getting used to the new environment and the knowing the people around them but once that button is pressed it unleashes its intelligent side and take away hearts with a drop of a hat. But one thing that is very important to know is that they are very prone to diseases because of the constant genetic experimentation and the cross breeding that ultimately led to the creation of this breed; leas and ticks can cause skin problems in these cats, other problems reported in American Bobtail are hip dysphasia, dry skin or dermatitis. But over all they are very adorable.

Scottish fold cat first appeared as a natural mutation in Scotland in the ’60s. Many veterinarians and competitions juries decided that ears that cats are a strain and that will not allow the cat to develop good and not allow to the cat to clean his ears properly. Deformations of the spine,  backward  legs and the tail  appeared also when two cats of the same type were crossed. Therefore, the Board of the Association of cat lovers in the UK decided not to allow any registered breed Scottish Fold and now this race is not created or taken to exhibitions in Britain. However, creators of the breed continued to produce and to export to Europe and America, proving that it is possible to eliminate the problems of the column ,the legs,  the back and the tail, incorporating  cats with normal ears in the genetic reproducing surveillance. Scottish fold is now recognized on the American continent, where it is met in exhibitions.

Ear lobe is hard, cartilaginous and fully bent, so that covers the opening of the internal ear. Ear tips are rounded. Hyper, active, vocal, intelligent, timid, affectionate and playful it has it all; the Siamese. Originating from Thailand as the name indicates Saim now Thailand. Siamese were once the royal cats because they are very protective of their owners and this is the trait that is still alive in the genes of this breed of cat. They are very active and known for their this characteristic that they always want to do something and need someone around to play with and if they don’t have any companion to play with then they try to find companions or time pass in the things that are around the house.

They are very elegant where the slim look makes it more stylish but they are very flexible and well muscled. It has large ears which is more of a trademark of Siamese with a thin and long neck; just like the tail that is also very long but that adds more beauty to the over all structure of Siamese. Siamese come in different colors dark brown with black points (seal point), cool gray points (blue point), chocolate points and lilac point but at the time of birth they are either cream or pure white then later as Siamese grew they start to develop color and eventually after 2years it gets to the final color. Siamese eyes are almond shaped they have either chartreuse, yellow, or gold colors but often then will end up with blue eyes that are intermediate in color between whitish blue and navy blue.

Siamese are very known and popular because of their playful and intelligent nature and the extra kick is provided by the talking that it do, it does communicate in its own distinctive way. Either if Siamese want to seek attention or if they want to show their discomfort to something or maybe they want to demand for a certain thing they are likely going to explore the vocal mean they are very talkative and they are very vocal. Race Chausie  is seen as one of the most beautiful breed. He appeared as a hybrid of the African jungle cat (Felis Chaus-Right) and has captured attention with its beautiful golden or black fur,  She was recently domesticated. Jungle cat is a useful race and a survivor. Bigger than a small cat, weighing between 8 and 15 kg. Chausie breed derived from the name of scientific name of the the jungle cat. Chausie race is set up as an effort to preserve the appearance of wild, domestic cats by creating a loving and friendly domestic cat.
Race Chausie is a relatively  a new breed, registered by TICA in July 1995. Currently, race “struggle” for the  status of a champion and continue to grow in popularity. Size, appearance and way of being, betray the wild origins.

Morphological traits

Chausie race is renowned for the amazing speed and the vertical leap of nearly six feet. Cats are flat, having a considerable width between shoulders. They are tall, slender and they have very long feet from the rear, somewhat higher than the front. The cats from this  race should be two times  bigger in length than in height. Also, Chausie is two times higher than other domestic cats and may be two or even three times as heavy. Males weigh more than females.
The body is big and long, with heavy bones, full chest, broad and strong muscles, with moderately long legs. The fur is relatively short, only three colors of the breed being recognized the ones that are found at the jungle cats: black, gold and silver with black spots. Kittens presents usually spots or stripes on the fur, which will blur as they grow, remaining visible only the stripes and spots on the face and legs.

Cats of Chausie race are  a very intelligent breed, often behaving like dogs. They are very affectionate, loyal and loving with the masters, children or other pets. In particular, are known for their amazing speed and jump in height to 1.80 meters .Chausie cats have a sweet nature, very affectionate. Alert and intelligent, often like the behavior of the dogs. Varieties

Currently, there are only three recognized colors of Chausie cat, all the common colors of  the jungle cats. They are: gold, black and silver with black spots. Kittens usually have spots or stripes on the fur. As the kittens mature, the signs of the body are blurred. Streaks and spots on the legs and face should, however, be visible on the adult cats fur.
The purpose of the  breeding program is to replicate Chausie African jungle cat in as many details as possible while keeping the appearance of the wild cats, even the Egyptians admired this breed and they have included it in their works of art. Tall, big ears and golden color, black or silver they are all common features of the breed Chausie and the jungle cat.

Exotic Shorthair is a breed created by humans., Around 1960 and was approved in America only since 1984, with numerous crosses made by breeders between the  Persian race  cats and other breeds with short hair and Russian Blue, British Shorthair etc.. During the evolution of new breeds, the kittens were chosen corresponding to the Persian standard, but they had a short and fluffy fur.
Persian breed has great popularity, which is demonstrated where the group exhibitions of their feline is always most participants. But considering that today’s lifestyle becomes increasingly agitated, Exotic Shorthair increasingly gain more ground. Called “Persian in pijamas” or “lazy man Persian, Exotic Shorthair keep their temper calm and affectionate, but require much less care . Because of its beauty and qualities, has spread very quickly both the Americas and the European  continent.

Breed exotic short hair, is characterized by a round head, big eyes and apart, which offers a mild look, with an almost childish expression .The ears are firmly attached, removed lightly  in an oblique position, with small peaks, slightly rounded and slightly turned forward. It can be observed  a small nose, but never type Pekinese. The body, solid and robust, is still elegant and distinct. The members are extensive, broad, powerful and robust. The tail is relatively short, but proportional to the length, is typical in this race to the body .The hair, whose length is 1-4 cm, which has, among other advantages, that of not becoming break. You see them in the movies in the plays. They are very popular breed and they are very expensive though but still they are the ones largely sort after; those who own one consider themselves the luckiest on earth, that is non other than the Himalayan. Himalayan’s comes in white or cream color as for full one color but the points come in many different colors: seal (or black), blue, lilac, chocolate, red and cream. The Himalayan’s they have inherited some of the traits from its ancestor Persian; due to which they are very docile, independent and have a lap cat attitude which makes them a perfect apartment cat. They are not that active they just love to lie around and lay back and relax, enjoy the petting on the back or just sitting in the lap. Himalayan do talk unlike Persian which some have said that they are just simply mute and Himalayan have inherited this trait from Siamese who are very vocal but this had only a very little effect not much but even that is something; making a completely mute creature able to speak, Himalayan have a very chirpy voice it is not very sharp and they often get themselves heard when they feel they need to. Since they don’t even like much activity because there body structure is not like that, as they have very short legs and a round cobby body so the mechanics of this breed makes it unable to follow that course and be active and jumping around all the time therefore they are only recommended for elderly people and the results have been miraculous as they need so much petting and grooming that it is not possible to some body with a lot of work at hand to be able to take out time to look after this pet. Therefore Himalayan’s have been only recommended for those who have a lot of time so that they can properly groom their Himalayan as it needs a lot of grooming because of the long hair that it has and it sheds a lot of hair therefore they will start shedding in clumps so to avoid such situation it is recommended to brush 2-3 times a day in order to keep the coat not only looking good but to keep healthy. They are very expensive and they cost $600 to $1500. Himalayan life span can stretch from 18-22 years as it depends on how they are being look after.

It is a good known fact that cats like playing with owner. We prepare some interesting plays which  we suggest to try:

First play

You should prepare different cardboard boxes. If box is in part closed and you put outside play such as artificial mouse or tape it will be activity for cat for a few hours. The Cornish Rex is the result of the mutation that occurred from a litter of kittens where one of the kittens, a male had an extremely unusual fine and curly coat; he was the first Cornish Rex. The owner soon realized that it is occurred due to mutation and soon the male grew up and was able to mate it was cross breed with the mother and hence produced two more such kittens. Later it was bred with the Siamese and this where they got the long tails and ears from.

Cornish rex only has undercoat they have fur that is curled the more it is rubbed the tighter the curl gets. They have no hair except for the down hair; the undercoat which means that they are best suited for indoor living in warm and dry conditions. Its body temperature is slightly higher than the other cats (102 F), and these cats tend to hang around places that are warmer such as the light bulbs, the tops of computer monitors and other warm places including laps and shoulders. The Cornish Rex is lean from torso to tail and they every thing they have Legs, Ears are Tail its long. They come in different colors white, black, chocolate, orange and diluted blue, lilac and cream also mackerel and ticked tabbies in bicolor. Their eyes colors are usually copper or gold.

The Cornish Rex are very delightful, fun, active and fascinating creatures they form bonds with every one and very quickly they have no favorites as every one who comes in front of it becomes their favorite. So if the owner has to go for some time and have to leave their cat back they really don’t have to bother about it that much. They also can go along very well with other pets or animals either new one or regular, be it either dog, cats, parrots, birds or rabbits it has no problem with any one in fact they would actively like to play with them. When you first  see a  Raga Muffin cat  from a greater distance, you would be  surprised. You see a gorgeous cat, massive, with large eyes and expressive, which  urge you to get closer. It is not known exactly what is the context in which Raga Muffin race appeared  and exact story will remain, most likely a mystery forever. Race Raga Muffin was accepted by CFA in February 2003.

Morphological traits

Usually Raga Muffin is a tall cat, female touching a weight between 5 and 7.5 kilograms. Males weigh often between 7.5 and 10 kg. The bone structure is very solid. They completely matures at the age of  about 4 years and have a higher life expectancy. As a general rule, Raga Muffin are strong and healthy cats with no  specific breed  genetic health problems.

This cat is a rare and precious. It is a natural breed, without being the result of man-directed selection. Race is held in growth as an ascending Englishwoman, and since the ’50s, a group of British and Scandinavian breeders try to save the race, calling the cross with twins blue point. In 1965  the results of the selection approaches to that of a standard before the First World War. In the U.S., the breed is registered with CFA in the early twentieth century until 1960 but rarely participated in exhibitions of cats

This race, by some authors, is based on the old cat Arkhangelsk, which was matted with blue conjoined twins and after a rigorous selection has managed to obtain a genetically, population , which was standardized in 1965.

Morphological traits

Medium-sized breed with short hair, is characterized by a rectangular head, long and relatively flat, wide forehead and fronted-nasal line is right, which form an evident angle. The ears are well distances between the base and slightly loose .They are sharp, transparent, fine and covered by fine thick hairs. The eyes are large, open, expressive, almond-shaped, ranging in color from glossy green to  emerald green. The neck is  well developed and connected to the head and torso.

The tail is long, straight, smooth, and thins towards the terminal. Character and conduct.

British shorthair cat that comes in variety of colors and the most fascinating factor in coloring is that it can be either a blend of two colors or simply one single color for the whole body. Coarse-haired cats have appeared in many countries, but only a few breeders have been busy selecting and improving them. Born from a spontaneous mutation of American short hair cat, cat breed is an American with coarse texture characterized by coat: wavy hair with the ends bent inwards or hook shaped. This mutation has occurred naturally during the pregnancy of an American short hair cat born in 1967 in New York. Solid cat, vigorous and full of life, American cat with coarse hair is then recognized by Cat Fanciers’ Association and the American Livre Officiel des origines des  felines in France. It is still almost unknown in Europe.

Morphological traits.

It is different from the basis of the race, primarily through hair , which is coarse and wiry all over the body. Sub morphology, are characterized by a relatively round head, her cheeks and nose are convex and easy prominent. The standard gives the highest importance to this breed, to the hair quality and less to the other traits. The colors allowed for this American race with coarse hair are common with the American  short hair cat.

Devon Rex breed comes  from a cat with  curly  fur , found in 1960 by Beryl Cox, in Devon, England. He  observed that a  street cat  gave birth to a kitten with a weird look and wavy fur, whose father apparently was a cat with the same kind of coat that made his century in the area. The kitten became  the ancestor of  Devon Rex breed. Being a relatively new breed, Devon Rex is carefully crossed  with copies of American and British Shorthair, to strengthen existing genetic background. In the U.S., the first copies of Devon Rex arrived in 1968 and was recognized in 1983.

Morphological traits

The first impression  that  a Devon Rex cat leave  is a mischievous  face with curly fur . Cheekbones are grade, large eyes and ears and bigger and located quite low on the skull. The face of the cats have a distinctive line. Viewed from the front, the skull is limited by a series of 3 distinct convex curves that gradually narrows: the outer edge of ear lobes, cheekbones and the clamping line of whiskers. The head is preferably flat, but its length must be greater than the width. It is recommended that face to be good shape, with prominent cheekbones and a junction area of the whiskers clearly delineated. Seen in profile, the nose presents a prominent stop. The forehead is slightly curved, and the skull is flat. The muzzle is short and well-defined and  the chin is strong and developed. Eyes are  large, oval and elongated to the outside, are placed at a considerable distance from one to  another. There is a standard color for the eyes of this breed.  The ears are a hallmark of this breed, with unusually large and placed low down. Are very wide at the base and the peaks are rounded. Ears are covered with very soft fur and, sometimes, may have tufts of hair.
The body is medium length, strong and muscular, but slender at the same time. Limbs are long and slender, and the previous are slightly shorter than previous ones, featuring small and oval paws. The front has five fingers and the rear four. The tail is long, thin and rounded on top, covered with short fur.

Birman have a very robust attitude and they are very endurable. That a lot has to do with the myth that has been associated with it that a lot has to do with the place it originates from Burma; Birman cats are tagged as sacred companion of the Kittah priests the temple of Lao-Tsun. One day, when the temple was attacked and Mun-Ha was killed, Sinh placed his feet on his master and faced the goddess. While the white fur got a golden tint to it, his eyes turned blue, as the goddess and the legs and tail that were touching the ground turned into the shade of the earthy color. However, the paws that were on top of the priest remained white. It is astonishing to notice that still Birman cats have fingers and toes that are in pure white color regardless of what other color they have for the rest of the body. Birman is a large, strongly built, elongated and stocky cat, they are a natural breed. In comparison to the other cat types, Birman have long, silky hair with a semi-cobby body. All Birman Cats are born white its color starts developing only after a week or two weeks. While in the first week, Birman Cats have dark color, it is only after two weeks that they have clearer color. American Curl breed is famous especially for his bent ears , which are the result of spontaneous mutations. Ears are straight and open, bending through the back, in a graceful curve, opposite to the  Scottish Fold cats, which are bowed and bent toward the front. The ears give the breed an alert and cheerful look.
American Curl breed history begins in a sunny day of June 1981, in Lakewood, California. A black female with long hair and silky, with some unusual ears, appeared at the door of Joe and Grace Ruga. Joe Grace encouraged her not to feed the cat, but the woman, listening to her heart, left a bowl of cat food next to the doorway.  The black and affectionate cat  quickly made its way into the heart of the family, who called  it Shulamith, which means “black but pleasant”.
In December 1981, Shulamith gave birth to her first offspring. Of four kittens, two had their ears bent. He was contacted a geneticist to study this phenomenon, confirming that this unusual ear is the result of genetic mutations, most likely inherited, caused by a dominant gene, and strains without attachments. Referring to it as a spontaneous mutation, the gene that caused the bending ear seemed to follow a single dominant pattern.
Inbreeding began in 1983. The standard of this breed is a medium-sized cat, alert, with an elegant aspect and a sweet expression, open, filled his ears remarkable. Because of his domestic ancestors, American Curl therapy is available both in the long hair, and in one with short hair, both varieties with a soft fur, silky, shiny and attached to the body. breed with long hair is different because of the very bushy tail. The  care of this breed is easily done. An occasional bath and brushing is all that one needs for these cats to maintain coat in good condition.

Morphological traits

The distinctive feature of this breed it  is the unique ear shape. The ears are quite stiff to the touch, high and open, bending the light in an arch. American Curl breed ears were compared with those of Lynx’s, with long tufts of hair accentuating the appearance of bending the ears. Great care must be taken handling the ears to avoid breaking  the cartilage.
When they are born, their ears are straight, but within 3-4 days after birth, the ears start to bend back. In the first  4 months of life, kittens ears gradually bend in different degrees, ranging up when determining the final shape at the age of 4 months. Around this age, professional can determine the quality cat breeder, based on the degree of bending of the ears, correlated with body type.

Character and behavior

In terms of personality, American Curl breed is very people oriented, loyal and affectionate. Being a nosy and curious temperament,  they assist their human companions in any action that those are  planning to do.

In USA another way to prettify cats is buying wigs. Some people say that wings are beautiful, but in my opinion it is redundant addition for cat’s fur. Animals with wings look strangely. I am sure that it is uncomfortable to have something like that on head. Think about your cat and don’t do it. Cats are beauty and don’t need it.

American Short-Hair Cat or American with short hair that descended from European cats were brought to the New World by immigrants, after the conquest of the  “saint” earth  and selected  in the new conditions to obtain the current form. The beauty and loving nature of these cats came to be widely appreciated, as well as their ability to catch rats.
A cat belonging to this breed came to be offered for sale at the second annual exhibition at Madison Square Garden, in 1896, for fabulous sum of 2,500 dollars!

In the early twentieth century, the U.S. imported foreign breeds (breeds with long hair),which were crossed with native cats with short hair, producing kittens with different types of fur, colors and temperaments. Those who wanted to keep North American cats with short hair have acquired the best examples of the breed, which they began to selectively mate them, to keep their conformation, temperament and expressive figure, American Shorthair, as we know it today. FCA recognized the breed in 1906, being one of the first five races recorded in this Association. Known originally as “short-haired domestic cat, the breed was renamed in 1966, receiving the name of American Shorthair, that suggests more than its specific character and which distinguish American from all other breeds with short hair. This name emphasizes, at the same time, the idea that North American cat with short hair is clearly different from specimens that are found on the street.

Of pure chance, a cat with short hair and no pedigree may resemble an American Shorthair, as other breeds may have similar characteristics with Siamese cats, Persians or other cats. The difference, however, is that a cat with pedigree can consistently produce kittens with the same physical conformation, the same as the coat and the same temper, this thing doesn’t happen  common  cats. Years of inbreeding and careful recording of many generations of cats guarantees that each set of kittens will have certain qualities.

These beautiful cats have not only a great look , they are also healthy, tough and full of affection. Males have a waist larger than females, weighing between 5 and 7 kilograms at maturity. Female adults  weighing between 3.5 and 5.5 kilograms.

Morphological traits.

American Short-Hair looks at the  first sight with its  ancestor of which is distinguished primarily by a more robust format.
The breed is characterized by proportioned developed  triangular head, large enough, with good ears forward and their rounded shape tips .The width is equal to the  base . The eyes are  well developed, large and expressive, in harmony with the color of the coat.
Body, medium-sized, well dressed in muscles, supported on the limbs relatively long, but strong. The chest is broad, well-dressed in muscle, long neck and well supported .The tail a bit long, thins at the base. The hair covering the body is short, thick and often with fine medium, but bright and slightly away from the body .The colors are many and of which we can mention: white, black, gray-blue, beige, red, tabby, cameo etc..

Character and behavior.

Short-Hair breed is characterized by the same temperament and the same traits as those encountered in European cats.Very  intelligent and human attached, it ask for much movement,  so you have to provide an open space..
Resistant and less pretentious, very easy to accommodate with the conditions on which we offer, but at the same time, we should  respect her independence, which sometimes need .Its good to be left outside very often because otherwise with the first chance can escape.

Varieties .

Like the European cats, we can meet many varieties, which differ mainly in color and other morphological traits. Depending on color, we can meet  one color cats , bi-and tricolor, with different designs or spots.

The name as it is showcases the sheer grace that it caries in its persona; the attraction and the beauty that it has earns it the name similar to Balinese Dancers that is why called Balinese. Though they are very similar in color and other feature to Siamese but they don’t inherit the hyper attitude which makes them very subtle and adaptive. They are very affectionate creatures and once they are in the house then the house doesn’t belong to you; they simply own it then. They go along with other animals very well especially suitable for those who have dogs at their house; they go along very well with dogs. It is developed with the cross breeding of Oriental Cat with Siamese. The longhair it inherits from oriental cat and the marking on its heads and ears comes from Siamese. Siamese are known for their hyper nature and their very talkative though Balinese have adopted that trait but as compared to their ancestors they are less talkative. They have tall legs and long body which makes them look very good; though they are not that big in the diameter therefore it makes them very playful and active. Balinese are famous for their long, plume tail though there is a wide variety of traditional colors like blue, chocolate, lilac, seal and lynx. The maintenance of Balinese is very easy and its silky, single coat lying close to the body, with hair length of half inch to two inches does not requires frequent brushing but they love being brushed and the most astonishing factor is that they hardly shed in fact 90-95% not shedding.

Balinese are very family oriented they go along very well with the environment in the house and are very timid as they can be carried out to travel with you even If it’s a 10 hour long drive. They are very talkative; this is a trait very similar to Siamese in fact this is where Balinese inherited it from actually but they don’t have a sharp voice like Siamese have. They like to seek the attention of those who are often around them and this is a tool that Balinese always use to seek attention as they like some activity going around them because they are full of affection and are very loveable. They always like to hang around people and when they sense that you want to be alone for a while or you go to sleep they will wait for the moment when it can sit back onto your lap they are very active and alert as well they recognize people and in case of the arrival of any stranger or new person into the house they are going to make you aware of their presence. It costs $500 to $600 and can live up to 12-15 years. Almost no shedding, startling loyalty, dog like attitude and a plus of talkative feature makes it one of the sought out cat breed.

Oriental cat is actually a Siamese with different color fur and green eyes. The form and the temperament  are identical with the ones in Siamese cat . Oriental breed was created by crossing a breed of cats of  Siamese breed with cats from other breeds,  to produce different colors of Siamese. Black Siamese is one of the oldest types of cats but only in 1950 began to make efforts to change the color of the first race. Havana was the first Oriental cat champion who won the status of the exhibitions for cats.

Morphological traits:

Oriental cats of breed standards are the same as for Siamese cats, regardless of color or type. They are medium sized cats, but appear to be more cumbersome than they actually are. In fact, Siamese and oriental short hair are practically the same race. Oriental short hair was created as desired characteristic  Siamese signs  distribution throughout the body. The first step in getting new breeds of cats were crossing twins in  one color  flexible specimens . The result came soon: a cat like Siamese, but  with no specific  Himalayan model. The head, of medium size, form a perfect equilateral triangle beginning at the nose and the ears, increased gradually, with straight lines, without hollow pear trees in the right touch. Profile is elongated and straight, slightly convex and without stop. The ears are large, broad based and distance.  She needs to be fed 80 kcal / kg / day. Under no circumstances, the Oriental cat should not be fat.

Character and temperament:

As Siamese ,the Oriental cats  are intelligent cats, curious ,who know how to make known their presence. They like to “talk” with their human companions and always expect a reply. They want to be part of the family and they love to play. Oriental Cats inherited from twins not only look, with the Siamese  but also  have their temperament. Like Siamese cats, the Oriental  are very “talkative”. Once you arrive home full of enthusiasm  you will be welcomed at the door and she  will tell you what she have done. If you are late and she  will argue with you, “saying” that she was  worry because  you were not given any phone. Eastern has a colorful personality. They are  very attached to people and want desperately to share life with them.

As they have been inflicted genes of so friendly and active donors that it is perfect for any age group or environment as opposed to the extreme nature of other breeds; the crossing between different factions have resulted in the cancellation of these negative aspects or have either been minimized for instance Abyssinian; they are playful and they easily mingle with the residents of the house ranging from the very young children to adults as they are very calm relax and don’t scratch; which makes them safe for small children. But Aby’s hardly like to sit in the lap or stay put for a while but Australian Mist do that thanks to the genes that it got from Burmese which inculcated this trait in their personality one other thing which adds more attraction to this breed of cats; Australian Mist is their eyes, they are so eye-catching which simply takes one’s heart away they come in different shades of green which are breathtaking, where its cool, calm and relax demeanor multiplies the adorability of this creature.

They are very social and like to play, stay active and have fun even when they grow up; they don’t lose this spark in their personality, they do are friendly towards humans and likes more to hang around with them thanks to the genetics of Abyssinian but the presence of other animals also don’t bothers them. Their fur coat is short and dense this is where the genes of Burmese comes into play; which makes the maintenance easy for these cats as they only need to be brushed weekly. They eat a lot and they are prone to obesity therefore the food intake should be monitored and if the situation leads to obesity then properly regulation for the food intake must be exercised because that can badly effect the health of Australian Mist. They have strong teethes and they must be given something to chew onto.

One of the interesting aspect to the personality of Australian mist is that they respond to the human vocals or instructions and if they are properly trained they are likely going to understand some of the basic instruction used in daily life i.e. stand, sit, stop and come but they like dogs also like to fetch things !! This is very interesting and that is why they like to hang around teenage or grownup male because they like such activities. The average cat life among all the cat breeds is the same i.e. between 15-18 years. An Australian Mist can cost $350 to $400.

The origin of this cat is British and came after 1950 from a mating of conjoined twins and  European cat. It is one  of the  cat breeds in fast growing field because of its color, similar to a Cuban cigars. The first thing to notice about this cat it is its shiny  coat, mahogany-colored. Character and behavior.

This breed is characterized by a quiet  behavior , docile, which gives more personality, great intelligence, inventive  and support in any way. She doesn’t stand the dogs She is a very playful animal and she gets along very well with children .It is an agreeable great companion to everybody, she  attaches  too much for one person, to whom she dedicate almost all the time, when that person is  always present in the house..She  adjusts to the change well and apartment blocks, but not refuse output frequency in the balcony, where she  makes her  toilet with much dexterity and pleasure. It is a race  of longevity and not infrequently to reproduce even in old age, is considered one of the best mothers in the family cats. Havana Brown is an ideal pet, whether you want to present  her in exhibitions or simply keep one for you, as a staunch friend. It is not uncommon for such a cat with paws to reach for your attention or a break to run, then she sits right at your feet, asking with his insistence on a tummy scratch. Due to the flexibility of those who show cats, they will adapt to your program every day, but it should not leave them alone for longer periods of time.

Varieties.

Over the classic color (Havana Brown), we have to mention other colors that are detached from crosses made between Siamese, European and Havana.
We mention the varieties of this breed in Lavender, Lavender called cat with short hair, whose name clearly tells us the color of the robe. It is also a  shade variety of Ebony, which is a  black one color variety, of great beauty, much appreciated by breeders .

Bombay cat may look like a miniature black panther, but the cat is completely domesticated. A relatively rare breed,  Bombay cat breeders  is very popular due to its external appearance and submissive personality. Black and insightful brown eyes, this breed combines the appearance and personality with  black color  American Burmese uniform short hair, the  black variety. Bombay Race is a creation of  Nikki Horner. Ascending and exhibits since the age of 16 years, Horner has paired awarded the American Shorthair cats, Burmese, Exotic, Himalayan, Persian and conjoined twins, to get a cat that has crowned his career. Around 1950, while her mate and American Burmese short hair black, put on a conception about Burma, with glossy black fur and brown eyes  insightful – a kind of miniature panther. As Horner imagined it would look like an Indian black leopard, she has called the cat after the city Bombay (now Mumbai). In India, black cat is considered to be good luck and wealth, contrary to European superstition under which it would be a sign of bad luck and brings misfortune.
The breed is recognized by these associations and international organizations: American Association of Cat Enthusiasts (AACE) American Cat Association (ACA) American Cat Fancier’s Association (ACFA) Canadian Cat Association (CCA) Cat Fanciers’ Association (CFA) as Fanciers ‘Federation (CFF), the National Cat Fanciers’ Association (NCFA), The International Cat Association (TICA) United Feline Organization (UFO) and the Association of Romanian Cats (AFR). In Europe, the breed is recognized by independent clubs in Holland, France and Belgium.

Bombay is famous for her fur which is like the skin and  brown eyes. Cat Bombay today is   medium size, bone and muscular, a cat that looks surprisingly robust for its size. The head has a nice round shape with sharp angles, the eyes well separated. The muzzle is broad and slightly rounded. The ears are rounded and well separated from each other. Eye color is from gold to copper shades. The tail is straight and medium length.
There are two patterns conformational Bombay cat’s head, traditional and contemporary.  Traditional Bombay Cat  has a longer and narrower muzzle in comparison with the contemporary. Fur, is one of the most beautiful features of the race, is fine and makes good adhesion to the body, like a gloss varnish. Fur is short and silky and it  feels  like velvet .

Character and behavior
Like the Burmese, Bombay cats require constant attention, following its master everywhere to obtain it. Extremely sociable and affectionate, Bombay cats tend to love the whole family rather than to create a strong connection with only one person. Cat lovers say that these cats are, in particular, tolerant with children.
Bombay cats have inherited traits from both races that led to their formation. Like the Burmese, Bombay cats are playful and intelligent. As American short hair, are temperamentally balanced and less talkative than  noisy Burmese. Bombay cat is not happy if  left alone for long periods, so it’s best to  got her a mate to keep her company.

Varieties

Only a variety of color and pattern is accepted – compact black. To maintain the desired type of fur, head and body conformation, Bombay cat breeders crosses with colored  samurai Burmese.

This race, of French origin, is considered as one of the oldest breeds breed in Europe, is quoted as early as the sixteenth century .The of  this breed comes from the Grand Chartreuse monastery in the Alps, where is risen with much attention by the monks of this facility.

Morphological traits.

Robust and powerful breed, is characterized by a relatively round head, because  of the influence and shaped convex cheeks At the head me meet the ears, medium size, with peaks slightly rounded and covered by a very fin hair .They appear in the upper part of head, but slightly forward, giving the impression that the cat is always watchful .The eyes are big, round, expressive, lively and light copper colored or oranges . It is  not admitted that on the animal’s coat to meet different tones or stripes and spots of any kind.

Character and behavior.

This cat is probably best suited for living in small dwellings and we can say this for  two main reasons:
-is an exceptional cat with a behavior, extremely balanced and gentle, a very beautiful cat that adapts on with the lifestyle of the family he belongs.
- it has a compact coat, consisting of short hairs which is recommended  before a number of many races  in the cohabitation with children in  special. In therefore not have problems with hair loss with this wonderful breed.
Chartreaux is appreciated very much because is  gentle and docile, quiet walking, relaxing, with safe walking, without noise, very courageous in fighting and sociable. Courageous cat  in the fight with large and small rodents are very entrepreneurial and they are not suffering from starvation if  they are left alone outside  Smart and subtle animal, appreciates with great accuracy  the master character , and she does  not exceed  with certain limits on her behavior towards her master. .It is a race of a great  fidelity, that’s why may refuse to eat,  if from a reason is separated from her master . She follows his master to  a walk even uninvited, possessing a very original way of looking at the world and people surrounding.
However sometimes runs away from home and returns after a few days Thou, meanwhile if nothing special  happened. Varieties.

Though it is a very old breed, there are not accepted  other colors than the classic, yet recently appeared blue-cream variety, as a result of mating between European and cream Chartrtreux. At this variety,  the color is  bicolor, more or less accepted by the breeders.

Origin of this breed is not yet safe, even if  legal documents were found for a very long time .At one moment this cat  almost disappeared from our continent, the right for  this breed accounting for Americans and English people. Turkish Angora is a breed with long hair, important in terms of historical study ,because it is considered that this cat has sent the current character of most semi long or long hair breeds and particularly Persians. Turkish Angora was first discovered in the Middle East between Turkey and Iran and Pietro della Valle  brought the first copies in Italy in the XVII century. Angora name refers to the Turkish capital Ankara. This name has become synonymous with quality hair, specific to other species (Angora goat or Angora rabbit).

Morphological traits.

One of the most beautiful cats with long hair, Turkish Angora  is gaining  more followers than ever, because of her qualities and attributes .Distinguished  and elegant through its movements, giving the impression that it is prepared to pose. She is characterized by less than round  and narrow head compared with the Persians, which possibly could be confused, with well-proportioned ears, distant and sharpened  peaks. The eyes  are large, well open, expressive, bright and blue, but other shades of color can be admitted.

The body is robust, well dressed in muscles with lengthiness slightly superior  to the Persian, supported by short limbs, but robust. The tail is long and thin, well dressed in hair .The body is covered with fine, dense and silky hair, more abundant around the neck , abdomen and the tail.

Changing the  hair is an extremely interesting phenomenon and the re growth  is more abundant at the beginning of the cold season. The color is white but other colors are allowed, and the beauty of these cats do not fall with nothing.

She  is distinguished by her  temperament, and she prefers playing instead of resting, even at an advanced age .She prefers cozy spaces and she is content to stay in areas with soft environment, than to go outside in the yard or garden. Varieties

The color of this breed of Angora cats  is black, blue, beige, etc..
Angora white is classic. Must be pure white with green eyes, light blue, yellow-reddish or different (an eye each color) and nose pads are pink.
Other varieties are:
• Black, blue-red, cream, turtle shell, chocolate, lilac, lilac-cream. For bi color white varieties should form a V back and front bead on the upper chest and to be found and the tail;
• or smoky gray (smoke) in all basic colors: bleached hair is based;

Snowshoe is an American race, which resulted from crossing Siamese breed with Shorthair American race in the 60′s. Morphological traits

Snowshoe is a medium sized cat, which combines the robustness of the breed American Shorthair cats with fragile elegance of the Siamese cat. The head is broad, cheekbones are high and have  a line contour . The  average size is slightly rounded as much as it is wide and long. At the male protruding jaw and bone structure are allowed. Head size is proportional to the torso and limbs. Ears are medium size, slightly rounded tips, are alert and very wide at the base, continuing a line on the ears of the skull. Her eyes were oval or peanut, not prominent and are focused on the ears. It accepted any shade of blue is preferable that bright. The muzzle is proportional to the size of the head and presents a fine stop.  The nose is neither too broad nor too narrow, but proportional to the head. The body has an average length, there is no stuff, no delicate. It is well proportioned, with well developed skeletal and muscular structure, powerful, agile. Males have a medium to large size, and females are proportionately smaller than males. Limbs are proportionate to the body and the skeletal system is well structured. Snowshoe is an intelligent cat that loves human company. They are ideal pets, following his master around the house, “talking” on a gentle and melodic tone. In the U.S. the number of Brazilian breeders  is very big unlike  other parts of the world.

Brazilian Shorthair  are cats with  a strong hair, agile, medium-sized, more long than tall. The fur is short and it have a  large variety of colors.
There are many aspects that make these cats special. For example, the space between the eyes is equal to the size of the eye, and the  eyes, very expressive, moreover, are usually the same color as the fur.
The tail is medium length and is pointing to the top. Males can be easily distinguished from females because they have larger heads. As their name suggests, the breed Japanese Bobtail is originate from Japan. Unique feature of these cats is represented by their tail. When the cat has a relaxed position, the natural tail  looks like a rabbit tail. In Japan, the origins of the breed can be found somewhere in the VIII century, but came out of Japan only in 1960, when short-haired Japanese Bobtail was imported to America. It is now a recognized breed in America, and widespread.

Morphological traits

Japanese Bobtail is a medium sized cat with elegant shape and a well developed muscles. The head is clean-cut and has the form of a triangle with curved lines and  high cheekbones . Her nose is long and well framed, and the area joining the whiskers is well marked. The ears are large, expressive and are arranged at a considerable distance from one another. The eyes are large and round, are in a permanent state of alert. In terms of body size, males are somewhat larger than females. Cats are supple and elegant, with a well developed muscular system, with an overall harmonious appearance. The neck is appropriate in length, in proportion to body size. Hind legs are longer than previous ones.
The tail is one of the distinctive elements of this breed, which differ both from other races, and within the breed. It is almost impossible to find two identical tails to a Japanese Bobtail cat. The tail should be visible and consists of one or more curves, angles or any combination thereof. May be flexible or rigid and should have a shape and a size in direct proportion to the body. The hair on the tail is generally thicker and longer than the rest and grow in all directions, creating the effect of pom-pom tail or rabbit.

Character and temperament:
This cat is extremely friendly and intelligent. Have a sweet nature, get along well with most animals and love  human company . Some of them can learn various tricks and attention need to be kept permanently. They are very good pets.
This breed is famous for high resistance to disease and a very low mortality rate among infants. Pups are born not totally free of the tail, but not with a normal tail. Cats are active, intelligent and very “talkative”. Are capable of a lot of “tone” of voice, making  so many people to say they are  “singing” cats . Varieties
In cats with long hair, fur is medium length to long, and is as smooth and silky. This is preferable to a “collar” front, fur can be shorter and attached to the body at the shoulders. They are preferred  tufts of hair at ears and fingers. The coat should be so willing to highlight the contours of the body. Skin color of the nose, the eye pads  must match that of the coat. There are allowed blue eyes, but also different colors. Japanese Bobtail Cats can have different colored fur: white, black, red, beige.

York Chocolate owes its appearance  to the American Janet Chiefari , the owner of a cat with  long white black hair, in a farm at  the outskirts of Albany,  capital of New York,  where the cat mate in 1983 with Smokey, the  neighbor’s cat. The kittens birth stands out  an unusual  kitten  with the color of chocolate.

York Chocolate is an animal with a supple and long constitution  which reminds that of Siamese, although it is clearly higher and more robust. Males reach the weight of 6-8 kg, and females more than 4.5 kg. The head is suitable  large, more long than wide, in the form of  a triangle with rounded corners. In profile, the skull is rounded, nose  has a smooth stop, chin is less pronounced. The ears are large, sharp,  inclined forward and away. Eyes are medium size, almond in  golden color, dark green or peanut. Legs are medium length, the posterior longer than the previous. The paws are round and children. Medium and long tail is between adult cats, the hair on the tail  have to spoil that one up. The fur is medium length, soft and  glossy, following body lines. The delicate consistency, doesn’t have a  woolly down. Hair is short snout, on  the abdomen and the lower portion of legs,  the longer the spine, hips, legs and upper part of  the neck.

Character and behavior.

Less active and reactive, it needs moderate attention by man. The family has to be  affectionate people, allow easy comfort and likes to be held in her master lap. With more foreign persons  she is reserved, even shy, but in any case, is sociable and very less aggressive. Due tendency to follow its owner everywhere, was nicknamed  cat-satellite, but is, in fact, quite independent, and she  rarely meows . She accepts  other animals, can be an affectionate and discreet playmates for children in the house. Varieties

The standard provides four varieties: Chocolate merged, chocolate white, lilac and mauve and white . In  unite colors , a white spot on  breast or womb is accepted, but not required.  At the bi color specimens, white is distributed around the neck, chest, belly, legs and, often, the muzzle, with a stripe on his nose. Colors are obviously more lighter to kitten that, up to 12 months can have traces of tiger drawing or stains.
